A dual-purpose handout: a startling piece of easy-to-understand information on each side. The bar chart was drawn up by statistician Ron Law, from Canada’s own records, to demonstrate comparative risks of death from causes as diverse as plane crashes, medical accidents and meteor strikes. You will find Natural Products second from the bottom, between bee stings and meteorites. On the reverse, similar information from European Union statistics, demonstrating that the lack of risk is international.

A look at the triple taxation hit for people using NHPs. Not only are NHPs not covered by medical plans, or tax deductible, they also incur HST. This article makes the point that the only possible advantage Canadians might have gained from a system of licensing would be a tax break on product that have proved an efficacy claim. This has not happened however and NHPs are being pushed even further out of the reach of low-income families.

If evidence which would prove harm is routinely kept from legal scrutiny, none of us have rights. He demonstrates that the Charter of Health Freedom is more vital now that when it was devised.
